Transactional sex as the term itself implies is a business deal where there is a exchange of either cash, gifts, or any other favour for sex.
As for political factors affecting sexuality, politically sexuality is used by various individuals for political gains, for example a traditional politician or political party might go against Gays and suppress gay rights and persecute Gays this may result in people not coming out in the open and declaring themselves as gay.
